Jesus calls us to Love our Neighbour and to support those around us who are in need. We do this through a wide range of mission focused programmes and by supporting a range of Mission Organisations.

Newcomers Ministry
Our Newcomer Ministry began with a simple yet powerful mission to offer those seeking asylum in Northern Ireland and placed in our local hotels a safe and welcoming space to begin their journey in a new country. We started with a response to those with children to be included in our summer kids work and has grown into a thriving ministry focused on compassion, support, and integration. We’ve since started we have had two rounds of funding for our Community Kitchen Project. This is a monthly meal for newcomers in our community to cook and share food from their home nations. We also host a Men’s group on a Tuesday Evening with fellowship through table tennis and have a parent’s café during Friday night youth clubs. At its heart, this ministry continues to be about building relationships, restoring dignity, and extending hospitality to those around us.

South Belfast Foodbank
What is South Belfast Foodbank and what do you do?
The purposes of South Belfast Foodbank, are that individuals and families in financial crisis for any reason, can receive short term, emergency food supplies and compassionate, confidential listening in a welcoming atmosphere. They are also offered the opportunity for onward referral to other local services which can help with the causes of poverty.
As a Congregation how can we practically support you?
Our wish is for the congregation to support us in prayer, donating food or money and volunteering. Fitzroy congregation has always supported us amazingly in all aspects.
HomePlus
What is Homeplus and what do you do?
Homeplus is based on University Street, there is an Outreach van that goes round every night to bring clothes, food and sleeping bags to people living rough on the streets. In the house there is a woman’s Centre and an Advice Service which helps asylum seekers, refugees and destitute migrants. You can get more information on Homeplusni.com.
As a Congregation how can we practically support you?
Every few months we appeal for warm clothes, hoodies , jogging bottoms and coats. Also new underwear and socks. ( And if given money we buy these. ) This is all very much appreciated.
Onialeku Nursery and Primary School
Onialeku Nursery and Primary School is a school in North West Uganda who we have partnered with for about 10 years, sharing financial help, sending teams and learning so much back in return.
As a Congregation how can we practically the school?
By sponsoring children and responding to whatever pops up in the announcements about the partnership.
Christian Aid
As a congregation we support the work of Christian Aid through collections during Christian Aid Week and by supporting their various campaigns throughout the year.
