The Linen Memorial

linen-memorialIn Memory of those who died as a result of The Troubles in Northern Ireland

A significant, and rather challenging exhibition currently on show in the beautiful Central Library in Belfast - Royal Ave, Belfast BT1 1EA until the end of February 2018

Portraying named linen handkerchiefs for each of those killed in our “Troubles” (during the years 1966-2006).  The creator of the exhibition, Lycia Trouton, left Northern Ireland at the age of 3, with her parents and now lives on the west coast of Canada.  She is an academic in the field of art and sculpture.  (Lycia was with us in Fitzroy last Sunday morning!)
